Precision air conditioners

The Precision Air conditioners or standard air-conditioners developed by Chiller are typically used in IT, electronics, measuring and testing rooms. The sensible heat factor of the machine series is as high as possible and the footprint as small as possible. All necessary maintenance procedures can be performed through the front panel of the device. The microprocessor controller is easy to use, and it maintains the room conditions accurately within the desired limits. Various filters are available to suit individual needs.

Thanks to the elegant design and low noise level of the devices, they can be located directly in the room to be air-conditioned. The devices are designed for non-stop use at all times. Service is simple, and it can be performed through the detachable front panels without any tools. The designed mechanics allows various alternatives for delivery.

Typical applications for the precision air-conditioners developed by Chiller include computer, electronics, measurement, and testing rooms.

The series of units is designed to give the highest possible effective thermal coefficient combined with the smallest possible floor-area requirement. All necessary service operations can be carried out through the machine´s front panel. The microprocessor regulator used for control is easy to use and keeps the room conditions precisely within the desired limits. Filters of various grades are available for the machines, according to the desired requirements. Filtering class EU5 is normally supplied, but units can also be supplied with a filtering class of EU7.

The stylish design of the unit and its low noise level allow it to be located directly in the room being air conditioned. The noise level has been further lowered by using a new acoustic door we have developed. Inside the unit is normally 45 mm of sound insulation, with 60 mm in the acoustic door, giving a total sound insulation thickness of more than 100 mm in the front of the unit.

In manufacture, special attention has been given to exceptionally demanding operating conditions, as the unit is intended for 24-hour operation in all seasons.

Servicing of the unit is simple and can be performed without tools through the detachable front panels. The mechanical design permits several different delivery alternatives.

The unit is available in two versions, according to the direction of air blowing :

  • Model D: blowing downward beneath a raised floor
  • Model U: blowing upward either ducted or through an exhaust chamber
  • Model RS (supplementary code): rear suction, blowing either upward or downward

The chilling operation of the unit can be:

  • AUC, ADC: direct evaporation and air chilling
  • WUC, WDC: direct evaporation and water or solution chilling
  • CWUC, CWDC: water-radiator unit operating with chilling water

All versions of the unit can have a maximum of four different thermodynamic functions :

  • only chilling A
  • chilling and electrical heating B
  • chilling and humidification C
  • chilling, humidification, and drying D
  • chilling and water heating E

The following are some of the accessories and functions that can be installed at the factory :

  • exhaust chamber for upward blowing models
  • alternative filtering classes
  • plinth beneath unit
  • stainless-steel condensate pans
  • stainless-steel pan beneath unit
  • water-leak alarm equipment
  • fire and smoke alarm sensors
  • internal collar piece for rear-suction water-radiator models
  • suction-side collar piece directly behind the unit in upward blowing models
  • filter-changing mechanism inside the unit in downward blowing ducted models
  • acoustic door with insulation

In air-chilled units type CCS, air chillers are used and in solution-chilled units type CCSG solution chillers. Both are available for different noise levels and outdoor temperatures.

The regulation and control system is microprocessor-based, with a continuous circulating air temperature and humidity display (depending on the operation version), a settings-value display, clear function buttons, and an operating error display. The possibility of wiring the unit to forward operating-state and alarm information is a standard feature. Units can also be supplied for control through the building automation system.
